Each class is a heart opening introspective journey fusing Hatha, Sivananda, Kundalini, Yin Yoga, music, mantra, pranayama breathing exercises, spiritual philosophy, meditation, intention and relaxation. There is an emphasis on the bandhas, the locks that tone our core strength and raise our healing energy, as well as the chakra system, our energetic anatomy that keeps us balanced in the five elements of nature.
Akasha Yoga helps to relieve dis-ease, pain, tension, stress, anxiety, depression and more. Classes focus on balance, strength, flexibility, opening, expansion, and most of all getting out of our head, and experiencing from our heart, while honouring our potential as well as our limitations. Each week has a different focus, practiced through pranayama, mudra, mantra and asana. Intention and effort are valued over level, making classes available to anyone who wants to practice.
I also teach Kundalini Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Restorative Meditation.
